viviana estrada

Greetings, Delegates,

My name is Viviana Estrada, and I have the pleasure of being your Chair in the  United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) committee in CancunMun 2019. I’m 17 years old and currently a junior at the International American School of Cancun (IAS). When I graduate, I would like to study something related to psychology, helping children with disabilities, or criminology. During my free time I enjoy dancing, going to the beach, traveling and hanging out with my friends and family.

This will be my third year participating in  CancunMUN. In past years I’ve participated as a delegate in UNEP and UNODC. I chose UNICEF because I have always felt passionate about the protection of children’s rights.  I love being part of the Secretariat team.

I expect my delegates to be well prepared, confident, organized, and to remain true to their position. But most of all, it is important to remain professional. As a reminder, the background guide should not be your only source of information; remember to use reliable sources.

You may contact me at or any member of the Secretariat at I hope delegates enjoy the experience, and I wish you the best of luck!

Welcome, Delegates!

My name is Natalie Juffe. I am 17 years old and currently a Junior at the International American School of Cancun. For this year’s CancunMun I have the honor to be working as Co-Chair in the United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF)  alongside my Chair, Viviana Estrada. I enjoy going to the gym after school and during the weekends I spend time with my friends and family. I’m interested in studying medicine in college and possibly having a career as a dermatologist.

This will be my second Model United Nations conference. My previous experience inspired me to become a Co-Chair for this year´s conference. I chose UNICEF because I’ve always been passionate about protecting children’s rights.

It is important for all delegates to debate with enthusiasm and with an open mind. As a reminder, delegates should not rely just on the information provided by the background guide. It is strongly suggested to do more research in order to be well prepared.

Feel free to contact me at  or any member of the Secretariat at if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to seeing you in November!

Best of luck, Delegates!
