Delegates, I am very honored to welcome you to the 17th annual CancunMUN conference. First, I would like to start by introducing myself. My name is Julieta Dominguez, I ́m 17 years old and I will be your Chair for Security Council. Currently I ́m a senior at the International American School of Cancun (IAS). One thing I'm very passionate about is singing and playing any kind of music. Being in the student council has given me leadership abilities and confidence. Spending time with the people that I love the most is something that makes me very happy. When I graduate, I would like to travel to Europe with my friends or participate in a volunteer program at a place in need. Once I finish those, I would like to study entertainment management in Miami.
I have participated in MUN since 9th grade. Some of the committees that I have participated in are UNODC, UNICEF, and UNHRC. My last conference was in New York City in the IAEA committee. Last year I won honorable mention to best chair in UNHRC. This is my second year being in the secretariat class. MUN has helped me in several things, such as helping me to develop a stronger personality, working under pressure, being organized, etc. I really like organizing and leading a conference. What I want for this year’s committee is a delegate who is interested in the topics and who comes up with a great solution, is well-prepared, organized, and represents his/her country position thoroughly during the conference. As a reminder, I’m very grateful to have you in the Security Council!

I hope, delegates, that you enjoy the experience, and I wish you the best of luck!
My name is Adi Stern, and I have the pleasure of being your Co-Chair of Security Council at the 17th annual CancunMun. I am currently 16 years old and a junior at the International American School of Cancun (IAS). When I graduate, I would like to travel around the world for some months and then go to college in Israel. I am interested in studying something related to international affairs focused on humanitarian aid. Some of my hobbies include playing soccer, surfing, going to the beach, and enjoying time with my friends and family.
I have been part of CancunMUN since 9th grade. In previous conferences I participated in the committees of UNODC, DISEC, and now Security Council. Both of my past conferences I have gotten the award of Honorable Mention to Best Delegate. This is my second year being part of the Secretariat Class and my first being a Co-Chair. Participating in a Model United Nations Conference is an amazing experience that is not only fun, but also a great way to encourage people to have their voices heard. MUN has also provided me with valuable tools for life such as being organized, well-prepared, persuasive abilities, working under pressure, etc. What my Chair and I expect for this year ́s committee is a delegate who is interested in the topics and comes up with a great solution, is well-prepared, organized, and represents his/her country position thoroughly during the conference. Remember that talking the most doesn't mean you will have an award; contributing useful information and solutions is more valuable. I am pleased to have you in Security Council and I look forward to your contribution to the committee.
