My name is Adi Stern, and I have the pleasure of being your Co-Chair of Security Council at the 17th annual CancunMun. I am currently 16 years old and a junior at the International American School of Cancun (IAS). When I graduate, I would like to travel around the world for some months and then go to college in Israel. I am interested in studying something related to international affairs focused on humanitarian aid. Some of my hobbies include playing soccer, surfing, going to the beach, and enjoying time with my friends and family.
I have been part of CancunMUN since 9th grade. In previous conferences I participated in the committees of UNODC, DISEC, and now Security Council. Both of my past conferences I have gotten the award of Honorable Mention to Best Delegate. This is my second year being part of the Secretariat Class and my first being a Co-Chair. Participating in a Model United Nations Conference is an amazing experience that is not only fun, but also a great way to encourage people to have their voices heard. MUN has also provided me with valuable tools for life such as being organized, well-prepared, persuasive abilities, working under pressure, etc. What my Chair and I expect for this year ́s committee is a delegate who is interested in the topics and comes up with a great solution, is well-prepared, organized, and represents his/her country position thoroughly during the conference. Remember that talking the most doesn't mean you will have an award; contributing useful information and solutions is more valuable. I am pleased to have you in Security Council and I look forward to your contribution to the committee.
