Greetings, Delegates,

My name is Paloma Uscanga. I’m very grateful and excited to be your Chair for the World Health Organization (WHO) in CancunMUN, 2020. I’m 16 years old, and I’m a junior at International American School of Cancun. I’m very passionate about art and psychology. I want to travel around the world, and in my free time I like to paint, draw, and go out with friends.

This will be my third year in CancunMUN and my fourth conference. I’ve always really enjoyed MUN and debating. I’m very excited about being in WHO for it’s the first time CancunMUN has this committee and I’m honored to be the first chair, with one of my best friends as co chair on it.

I expect the delegates in our committee to be fully prepared, organized, professional, and good with their statements. They also need to have a basic knowledge of their country and its position.

Reminder: The background guide should not be the only source of information.

You may contact me at or any member of secretariat at I hope you have a good time and enjoy the debates.

Welcome, Delegates,

My name is Alexa García, I will be your Co-Chair in the United Nations World Health Organization (WHO) committee in CancunMUN 2020. I’m 16 years old and currently a junior at the International American School of Cancun. I love to read during my free time and hang out with friends. When I graduate, I would like to study psychology, criminology and graphic arts in Canada.

This is my third year in CancunMUN, but my first year as a Co-Chair. For the past two years I’ve participated as a delegate in UNODC and CCPCJ. My previous experiences helped me get ready for the Co-Chair position. I chose WHO because of the impact this committee has on the world and because of my passion for medicine.

Delegates must be able to stay on the topic while debating and stating facts with evidence. As a reminder, delegates should not only rely on the background guide. Please make sure you use reliable sources.

Feel free to contact me at or any member of the Secretariat at I wish you the best of luck, delegates!
